Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos

Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos are well represented in the Green River Pedigree collection. According to the original sales manifests, there are a total 65 copies of Sgt. Fury regular and annual-size issues in the collection, including multiple copies of several issues. There are few issues known to have been graded by CGC at this date. The Sgt. Fury portion of the Green River collection includes a straight run from the first issue through issue 44, followed by issue 47 and 50. Of the books represented in this gallery, only issue 1, 12, 28, 35, 36, 41 and 42 have been slabbed. Images and descriptions of issues #23 and #24 courtesy of Jim Metzendorf. This copy was purchased from Craig Barnett in Washington St. from his store, and is not on the Hauser/Haack inventory lists. Issue #38 added on Dec. 21, 2006. Last updated on January 10, 2007 with the addition of issue #29, an unlabeled Green River that CGC Boardmember Arex Crooke spotted and won on Ebay.
